New PC Set Up & Deployment Process SET UP Make sure all the user's files is on onedrive Create a "new PC" folder on the desktop and add some info there to help I.e. printer, Chrome and Edge bookmarks and passwords, PC Name and shared folders etc. (Archive pst files in a .7z file and also keep it in the "New PC" folder Format Windows updates with Microsoft updates and brand updates (Dell Supportassist, Lenovo system update, HP Support Assistant) Add PC name Restart Log into the users profile Make sure Windows is activated Windows updates with Microsoft updates, brand updates and Microsoft Store updates Download and install office from portal.office.com (for most up-to-date version) From software center install crystaldisk and patchmypc Open patchmypc and install 7zip, Adobe, chrome and update crystaldisk at once From software center install Azure, cdk and zscaler (teams from software center doesn't work) 7zip settings Crystaldisk mail settings Log into zscaler Log into outlook Log into onedrive and run backup sync Map Autoline Desktop Icons Enabler batch file Install and log into Teams (disable Teams in Task manager > startup) Date Format dd/mm/yyyy (regional Format UAE) Default apps (outlook, chrome and Adobe) Coonect "Scan to OneDrive" and create a shortcut on the desktop Network drives Wallpaper and screensaver Sleep mode - off Disable all startup except onedrive and exclaimer Disable Teams to run in background when closing it DEPLOYMENT Make sure the user is able to print and scan to OneDrive Ask Jucil or Billy to map Autoline, incase it couldn't be done on set up because of different PC name etc.
