Dell SupportAssist asking for Administrator rights
As you all know, when logged into a user’s account, Dell SupportAssist doesn’t allow you to do updates without Admin rights like below
Here’s the workaround instead of adding the user to administrator group or logging into administrator etc.
- Close SupportAssist
- Run services.msc as administrator
- Right-click on Dell SupportAssist and go to properties
- Go to “Log On” tab, select “This account” and click on browse
- Add Administrator
- Put the admin password and click OK
- Restart the Dell SupportAssist service
- And open SupportAssist again
