How to update and add the Allowed Time in the Menu line?
When loading the campaign, such as the service contract and the recall campaign, most users forget to check and update the vehicle service model group when loading the campaign. As a result, the technician is unable to clocking on the WIP line, unable to convert the WIP line after the job is completed, and unable to invoice the WIP.
To fix the issue, we have created and added an update report to the Service Admins and Reception Supervisors access in each service branch to update and add the allowed time on the Menu line.
If the allowed time on the menu line is zero, they can use this report to update or add allowed time and convert the WIP line.
Ensure that the status of the Menu line is M - Memo and not E - Extra and that the line number is correct to update the allowed time.
Please follow the below steps:
In Point-of-Sale, under I want To… click on Reports
Click on WIP Allowed Time Update
Enter the required details such as WIP No., Line No., and Allowed Time to be Updated, then click on Display.
Note:
If no result on Display, it means that the provided details don’t match the criteria.
- Check the WIP and make sure that the status of the menu line is M – Memo and the correct WIP line or line number entered is correct.
- Enter the correct details in the Prompts and click Display.
To check, load the WIP in Point of Sale and check the menu line allowed time.
You will now be able to proceed in converting the line without any issue.
